Hey Friends, I’m Christa Barlow. I grew up where the green grass grows, just outside town in southern Indiana. I grew up on the back of a horse and spent years in my papaw’s barn caring for and showing Quarter Horses. Years of involvement in 4-H, summers spent on my family’s ranch in southern Oklahoma and a variety of other activities and clubs in school nurtured my love for people, animals and agriculture.
Family ties to Oklahoma and north Texas and a search for an ag school landed me in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 2005. 4 years later, my time at Oklahoma State University [go cowboys!] furnished a degree in Agricultural Communications and a brand-new husband. The next several years included jobs in the marketing and communications field, moving too many times as my husband worked on his master’s degree and started his career. We landed back in Stillwater in 2015 with the orneriest little boy. Central Oklahoma is home to us. Since 2015 we’ve added to our family and set roots to raise them among a sea of orange and friends who have become family in a small-town setting surrounded by green wheat fields and grazing cows.
My family and I own multiple United Country Real Estate & Auction franchises serving central and eastern Oklahoma and southcentral Indiana. Whether it was a love of the auction and real estate industry or the ability to choose which 60+ hours I work a week that led me back to the family business, I haven’t figured out yet. Probably both. I grew up where Saturdays often involved a sloppy joe and Dr. Pepper from the auction concession stand and high school excused absences included being a cashier for a restaurant liquidation auction or checking in bidders for a real estate auction.
Since 2015 I’ve been working to grow my own real estate and auction career as I accomplished the prized designation of becoming an Accredited Land Consultant through the Realtor’s Land Institute and graduated the Certified Auctioneers Institute through the National Auctioneers Association. I specialize in helping people through life’s transitions, whether it’s settling an estate, downsizing, adding land to a cattle operation, or embracing new opportunities that life brings. I’m dedicated to bringing expertise and passion to the real estate and auction industries.
When we’re not working we’re enjoying raising our kids and living our best life in central Oklahoma where the friendships are real, the weather is crazy and the sunsets are to-die-for!
